Hmmm I remember as a child meal times around the table to be such a drab affair no matter how good the food, we sat said grace, ate, cutlery together then either waited or asked to be excused from the table, how often do we hear the quote? " my how things have changed". well maybe this can be for the better, our lives so busy with work running between child care, kids with there cell phones PS3's, computers, out of school clubs, parents at the gym or salon or extra classes.
All this makes dinner at my house a time 2 talk, 2 discuss to come together as a family, and know what is going on in each others lives, something the elders often frown upon, they see no reason why silence should of been abolished from the table.
well.....it has at mine, there are 5 in my household and one thing i can say for sure is that once a day all 5 are sat together and talk, i refuse to allow an old fashioned value or a microwave that can reheat in seconds take this wonderfull time, 1 day they will fly the nest, and i will yearn for xmas dinner and family get togethers, till then....whats the latest goss and mmmmm this sure tastes good.
