A 33-year-old woman charged in connection with the death of an 11-year-old boy is booked to appear in court today.
Angela Reid, from Ginger Hill in St. Elizabeth, was taken into custody two weeks ago and charged with the killing of Ryan Arnold, also of the community.
It was reported that the youngster was sent to handle some business for his parents on December 23, last year. It is alleged that Ms. Reid somehow lured little Ryan into bushes, where he was strangled and his head bashed in.
It was further reported that upon noticing that their son had not returned from the errand, the mother and other members of the community launched a search.
This search yielded no trace of the youngster.
Ms. Reid was also said to have been questioned by the child's father, but she claimed she had not seen him before reporting the incident herself to the Naine police.
The police subsequently launched another search and the boy's body was found in bushes at about 10 p.m. on December 23.
