Tons of people
It was way back in 1998. A friend invited me to see her new computer and the ability she had to reach many friends. I stayed online about two hours that day. She begged me to come off as the dial-up charges at the time would be murder. After that the rest is history. Because I loved what I saw , I made a business out of it so that I could be online all the time. I was hooked for life. The people, the community I could keep in touch with was what drew me and sucked me in. Since then I have been travelling the "globe" because of this Internet thing, meeting with peeps from all over.

So basically that is what got you going oharris. I was raised knowing how to use the computer. It was like a mandatory thing. I love it though, i was called a techie cause I love messing with technology. But when I learn u can talk to a lot of people at the same time, i was curious, then I got hooked. I would be on till 3 am worrying people why I was not in bed.

What got me going?
The fun aspect of it and the ability to choose who my friends are. Staying in little Jamaica and being able to meet people from across the globe was the bomb. In addition I could use the technology for business, actually enjoy my work, that was just the bait that got me. So when I am not working I'm having fun and vice versa. This is really different from using Word or a computer program. This is the INTERNET, a whole different world!!! (I got it bad, don't?)

Well, after that intial start to my addiction, I realize I wanted to design a web page like all the ones I see. So I went to college for digital media arts (web designing). I had so much fun with it knowing I can be creative, cause I like to draw, even on the internet by making web pages, flash movies and games. My artistic side really came forward since then and force me to be on for long hours. But while doing that I met a lot of interesting people on the net. Yes, there are some weird ones I have encountered but for the most part, they were all nice people. Most of the people I know are international, like from Jamaica, Trinidad, Bahamas, Africa, Canada so that what makes it fun.
