IMPAC borne Dean Boyd Anthony Williams was borne May 3rd, 1979 in the parish of Kingston and St. Andrew. At the tender age of seven, Impac had the hopes and ambition of becoming an entertainer and at this age he wrote and sang his first song, “The bottle it a rattle”.
“Bottle rattle”, was the name given to Dean by his peers at school while socializing during recess in the school’s common area, “Di Big Tree”. The name impac arose from the trials and troubles that he had fight growing up in the inner-city. Dean decided that no dark cloud will form over his head and his people so he will share the clear skies that he has seen with others through his music.
As time went by Impac pursue his musical career. From that point onward he started writing reggae and dancehall music and attending various studios and small shows. He started his recording life at the promotions house call Big Ship where he was produced by Steven McGregor who assisted him with writing songs like “Burn” and “Bad like we”- breaking news riddim and many others.
Impac Met other legendary dignitaries of the reggae music industry such as Freddie Mcgregor, Pinchers, Professor Nuts and Shabba Ranks.
He then ventured on his own by starting a record label called “Kapeezle Records”, where he freelance voicing for producers and various artistes worldwide. Impac’s, mentor and entertainment management consultants are “MB PACKER the RAS MAROON and Andrae Burke from Drop Leaf Entertainment Promotions.
His main goal is to launch his career on a new level and to become true Ambassador for his country – the “Jamaica land we love”. RADAAM BAAM!!!!!!!!
