She is currently writing and recording songs for her debut album, collaborating with music producer Hopeton Hibbert (son of reggae icon toots hibbert of toots and the maytals fame). The album will be release later this year on Hopeton Hibbert's Road Dog Production label.

Systa Irie grew up in East Kingston, Jamaica, she spends most of her growing years attending church. She was a starry eyed who dreamed of performing and grabbed every opportunity to do so. She was a regular performer at church and school concerts and the many local competition in and around .
Her first professional experience came through Jamaican girls group 4th Street Sista. With the group she honed her vocal and performing skills doing cabaret shows performing on stage shows such as Reggae Sumfest Hieneken Startime etc: made numerous television appearances and featured in the Miniginon advertisement on the public buses and pharmacies .
From 2003 she has been trekking the solo path. She worked 6months with LMS (Morgan Heritage Family ) as substitute vocalist .Toured the USA on Beres Hammond's for the love of it tour in 2004 doing lead and backgrounds for Iley Dred . Done additional gigs in the USA and Jamaica singing live and studio backgrounds for artiste such as Sizzla Warrior King Tanya Stephens Yellowman Anthony B etc. Besides her musical sorjourn. She held other jobs in the media and entertainment industry. She worked at the Jamaica Observer Newspaper and at the copyright society JACAP.
Her influences are musical great such as Tina Turner ,Aretha Franklin, Marcia Griffiths. She admire these icons for their poise grace strong performances and vocal delivery. Her all time favorite male singers are the ever controversial Peter Tosh/Jacob Miller and energetic performer Jimmy Cliff .
Systa irie is building a lifelong career in the reggae music industry writing and singing positive songs that pique our thoughts and stirs our souls. She sees it as her duty to perform and promote Jamaican music . Fly the reggae banner high.
