My life was filled with endless tragedies
A perilous journey that took its toll
Tossed around by fabricated promises
Words that damaged my soul 


You see, it wasn’t easy to cope
Without someone to confide in or even give you hope
For when all else fails and things go wrong
The troubles begin…the will isn’t strong 


That’s when the world attacks
Thoughts, deeds, emotions engulf around
You want to end this but it holds you even more
You scream, "stop help I can’t take this…" without making a sound


For in the midst of all the pain and the suffering
A light shines deep within the madness
God’s love provides us with strength and courage
Wipes away the tears and sadness 


To finish your dreams that you have started
Control of destiny’s door
For with Christ in your life, his promise keys are yours
And you’re a wandering soul…no more
